چکیده

Elevated levels of contaminants in surface and ground water pose serious adverse health challenges the twenty-first century. It is imperative that quality life people without safe drinking improved by providing safe, clean affordable using appropriate purification technology. Natural clay rice husk-Na2CO3 modified were used to produce expanded aggregates adsorbents. Characterizations done SEM, XRD, XPS BET reveal their salient features. Filtration studies carried out ascertain disinfection assay E. Coli removal efficiencies nitrate phosphate. Batch adsorption experiments employed determine effect pH, contact time adsorbent dosage for effective Arsenic (III) lead (II) including isotherm models. Aluminosilicates associated minerals with high areas between 456.143–566.998 m2/g significant sites revealed. Log four bacteria was achieved. Reduction phosphate all adsorbents varied from 27.33% 76% 10.67% 46% respectively. High correlation coefficients made Langmuir model more favourable than Freundlich model. The capacities both arsenic reaction fast, making suitable remediation applications.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

TiO2/Clay Minerals (Palygorskite/Halloysite) Nanocomposite Coatings for Water Disinfection

Microfibrous palygorskite and tubular halloysite clay mineral combined with nanocrystalline TiO2 are incorporating in the preparation of nanocomposite films on glass substrates via sol-gel route at 450C. The synthesis is employing nonionic surfactant molecule as pore directing agent along with acetic acid-based sol-gel route without addition of water molecules. Drying and thermal treatment of c...

Fluoride adsorption studies of montmorillonite clay

Batch adsorption studies were conducted to determine the effects of contact time and temperature on fluoride removal by montmorillonite clay at neutral pH. The adsorption of fluoride was studied at four different temperatures, viz. 30, 40, 50 and 60°C. The kinetics of adsorption as well as adsorption isotherms at different temperatures were studied. Adsorption obeyed both Langmuir and Freundlic...

Equilibrium and Thermodynamic Studies of Cesium Adsorption on Bentonite Clay

Removal of cesium from synthetic aqueous solution through adsorption on bentonite, under batch equilibrium experimental condition at different values of pH and four temperatures (303, 313, 323, 333 K) was investigated. For this propose the suitability of the Freundlich adsorption model for equilibrium data were investigated. The parameters in the adopted adsorption isotherm models were determin...
